I completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of São Paulo in 2015. I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Informatics, Computing, and Cyber Systems at Northern Arizona University. Previously, I was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Irvine from July 2013 to January 2014. I am also a member of the Software Engineering and Collaborative Systems Research Group from the University of São Paulo, and the Research Group on Information Systems from the State University of Maringá (UEM).

I research the intersections of Software Engineering (SE) and Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). Currently, I am working on the support of newcomers to Open Source Software development communities and gender bias in Open Source Software. I am interested in Open Source Software, Human Aspects of Software Engineering, Empirical Software Engineering, and Mining Software Repositories techniques. 

I am currently part of the Organizing Committee of ICGSE 2021, Co-chair of ICSE SCORE 2021, Associate Chair for ACM CSCW 2021 (April), Co-chair of ICGSE 2022,  Committee Member in ICPC MIP 2021, PC member of ICSE 2022 Research Track.
